A communication spot for the whole family
This is a location where we can all share ideas and insights for what we can do together to enhance the Clark Ranch, to ensure that the property, its resources, and its special meaning to all of us continues through the generations. We will still have Board meetings, family gatherings and reunions, email, phone, and whatever else, but the idea is to have this as a primary location for sharing ideas, stories, photos, and anything else relating to the Ranch and its operation.
This communication spot is for you. This is a way to get your thoughts known by everyone in the extended family and a way to find out what others think about what is happening at the Ranch and what could or should happen there. To make this work, we need some sideboards - some expectations for behavior on the site. Here are some to start with:
- Bring forward ideas that are positive. If you don't like something, that's fine, but offer solutions instead of complaints.
- Keep it clean. Leave the swearing for a different forum.
- Keep it focused. This is a place that is dedicated to the extended family and the operations of the Ranch, not a place for extended monologs on politics, religion, etc.
- Be generous. Sometimes people post things that come off more harsh than they are intended. Give people the benefit of the doubt and inquire as to their intent before firing off a hot response.
I hope this serves as a valuable tool for you and your family group, as well as for the extended Clark family across the country. If this turns out to be less than optimal, we can try a different tool. Let me know what you think!
